Star Island Resort and Club - Near Disney

This is in no way a complaint. I'm just a little disappointed.

Pros: The facility is always clean. Well maintain and very courteous and helpful people every time i've stayed there, they've always been very accommodating with everything that I needed.

Cons: This isn't necessarily something that I disliked, but I felt that the requested accommodations were meetable, but unfortunately, I was told they weren't, I noticed when I got back last night after my concert, there was many vacant areas. I had requested to downgrade my room due to the other Party not being able to make it, and I was told that they had no accommodations last night. I will say that I did ask for this change on the day of my arrival, so I do understand that potentially there was no availability. I just felt that when I got back last night.. I've seen the high probability of multiple available smaller units. That I could have been put into. Although this in no way would stop me from coming back. I think the resort is amazing. Always has been great prices. Good people, just very unusual of this facility not accommodating a specific request,

We enjoyed our stay immensely, and would stay there again.

Pros: It was a great place to stay. People were very friendly, the kids loved the pool! Did not have a lot of time to partake of the other amenities, pickle ball and tennis. I have stayed there before, and the room was fine. We had requested adjoining rooms, which were not available, but we did manage to be on the same floor. I personally found the beds to be a little hard.

Cons: As stated, we were supposed to have adjoining rooms, but none were available. My mother had issues with the toilet being very low and the tub very high and hard to get into and out of. Also, the jacuzzi part of the tubs did not work. Also, I was double billed for our stay (You booked 4 rooms and charged me 2x). I have tried to contact you by email, but have not been able to get thru. I would appreciate being reimbursed for the second 2 rooms. Thank you.

Loved it great for family

Pros: Loved the suite we had and the facilities were great

Huge complex with great facilities for everyone to enjoy, and in a fab location for Disney etc. just a little dated, but

Pros: The facilities were great. The on-site shop didn’t have loads but enough for the basics, but typically priced high for convenience. The pools were a great size and the staff around the pools were very helpful. Generally the facilites were really good. Can’t fault the location either for all the parks and plenty of shops and restaurants within a 5 minute drive or less.

Cons: The staff were helpful but not the happiest. We had a 3 bedroom interconnecting style apartment. It was huge, but so dated and had seen better days. The building next to us was being renovated though so hopefully they will do that to all of them.

Great stay. Good value, clean and comfortable.

Pros: We enjoyed our stay and will come back. The staffs are friendly. The room is clean once you check in. Any additional room cleaning the following days will be charged. We were okay without. The room is nice and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. If you are more than 4 persons, you might want to ask them for additional utensils. We brought our own just in case its an additional charge lol. They have a convenient store that has everything (drinks,snacks, souvenirs, flip flops, swimsuit and more). They have a resto as well that closes at 10 PM which is nice. They have 2 good temperatured pools with a bar and complimentary pool towels. There's a sports area as well. Cant remember if it was badminton or tennis or both. We didn't have time to use them. They have a mini arcade open 24/7 which was great for the kids. Really a good price value for what you pay.

Great holiday which put a smile on our faces from start to finish.

Pros: Great size one bedroom suite. The bed was massive and very very comfortable. The shower was one of the best we have every had in any hotel. Laundry facilities within the unit, which is great so the need to take fewer clothes. The area was very quiet and our balcony overlooked some of the tennis courts which were used very often. The pool area was great and watching the kids at lunchtime doing their Hola Hoop and Limbo competitions put a smile on our faces. All the staff very pleasant and the cleanliness of the entire property was exceptional.

Cons: The whole ambience of the resort, the make you feel at home feel. Nothing to small for them to deal with at short notice. When the TV in the living room would not shut off they were there within 10 minutes to resolver the situation. Food from the snack shack very good all cooked to order and served with a smile.

Would stay there again if traveled to Florida.

Pros: Great place to stay and close to attractions we went too. Very nice and clean. Loved the pool.

Great Value for an Exceptional Stay

Pros: My room smelled a bit moldy, but besides that it seemed clean, with great accommodations. The staff was helpful and the spa was exceptional. Overall, I would rate this property a 4/5 having mid to above average accommodations.

Cons: The smell of the room.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return

Pros: Good location for visiting Disney parks and Universal Studios, plus east and west coast. Plenty of car parking and good guest facilities. The suite was spacious and comfortable and everything worked (or was fixed when reported. Staff very helpful and issued raised were rapidly dealt with.

Cons: Accommodation was tired and could do with a makeover. There was an adjoining door with the adjacent suite which needed identifying as such along with instructions for guests not to try and open it unless both suites are being utilised by one party. Noise transmission via the floor, ceiling, and walls of adjoining suites intrusive on occasions.
